History
Adobo Republic is a World of Warcraft community comprised mostly of Filipinos, together with other like-minded players. Originating as the merger of two Filipino guilds from Stormscale (Horde) and Nagrand (Horde) who crossed paths while seeking for a more populated, thriving server. With both guilds having extensive experience in raiding, spanning the Burning Crusade’s Serpentshrine Cavern, Karazhan, Gruul’s Lair, Magtheridon’s Lair, Tempest Keep, The Sunwell, and the Black Temple; to Mists of Pandaria’s Mogu’shan Vaults, Heart of Fear, Terrace of Endless Spring, and Throne of Thunder, the group finally took on the Siege of Orgrimmar. But it wasn’t always smooth sailing for the community. Group disputes and the incorporation of elitist and abrasive members led to an unhealthy, toxic environment. In January 2014, to deliver the community from the kind of atmosphere enveloping it, a few of its leaders decided to break off to form a new guild, giving birth to what is now known as Adobo Republic in the US server Illidan (Horde).
Having weeded out toxic players from the community, Adobo Republic soared through Siege of Orgrimmar, finishing Mythic difficulty early before the release of the next expansion. Eventually, the guild’s primary raiders were able to give back to the rest of the community by mentoring the more casual players in raiding. Teaching the ins and outs of the raiding scene, gearing up, and how to maximize their toons in raids – giving casuals and new members the full raiding experience. Thrusting towards the Warlords of Draenor, Adobo Republic has been able to complete Highmaul, Blackrock Foundry, and Hellfire Citadel.
With such success, Adobo Republic has grown significantly in membership. Without any form of active recruitment, players from all walks of life, all over the world – from the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Korea, India, Thailand, Europe and South America - have joined the community through referrals and word of mouth.
Adobo Republic aims to maintain a community that is open to all Filipinos and other like-minded individuals playing World of Warcraft, a home where relationships are valued over content. We recognize that a game, played simply as a game, also ends with the game. But Adobo Republic believes that friendships formed in the process of playing the game are more valuable – transcending technological boundaries, into real life community of friends, enjoying life together even outside of the game.
As a guild, the founders have sworn to uphold 4 primary principles/values: Respect, Equality, Loyalty, and Camaraderie. It is our goal to provide a home to players seeking a fun and friendly guild environment that caters to players of varying levels of interests, in-game skills levels, and capacities both in and out of the game. Content progression is something that we always strive for, but never at the expense of the community. The guild pays no importance to a player’s skills, economic capacity, etc., if they cannot abide by the values we uphold. There is no room for egotistic, disrespectful, overly dramatic, abrasive, and toxic players in Adobo Republic.
Putting significant focus on the goal of transcending the technological aspects of the game, Adobo Republic holds guild events and gatherings IRL. The yearly Christmas Party is a tradition. Meet-ups, LAN parties, dinner parties and other guild social activities are often organized by our members. Even members outside of the Philippines have organized smaller meet-ups and gatherings.
The true strength of Adobo Republic lies in our community. Treasuring the friendships we have, bonds that cannot be broken or lost far after the life span of this game, we look forward to enjoying and conquering future content of World of Warcraft together, as a guild, as friends, as family.

Mission
Adobo Republic's mission is to become a recognizable and respectable Filipino Guild in the World of Warcraft community by enhancing the holistic value of our players in terms of economic, raiding, PVP, and interpersonal competence.
Vision
Adobo Republic nurtures the Filipino community above anything else, without excluding non-Filipinos who fit well within our community. We value the relationships that we form, from within the game, hoping that these transcend beyond the confines of a virtual world, into real life friendships. We aim to help members of our community get the best gaming experience by giving them a chance to explore the game’s content; achieve gaming goals; enhancing their overall competence and understanding; all within a close-knit community that promotes and exercises respect, consideration, tolerance, humility, and giving back to the community.
