I. Since everybody in the guild will be carrying the guild’s name, it is expected that all members conduct themselves in a manner that reflect positively on the guild and its leadership. Behave positively in all interactions, be it within or outside the guild. Misbehavior will be addressed by guild officers ASAP, depending on severity and frequency, with verbal warnings, rank demotion, or even guild expulsion. AGAIN, the guild promotes respect, courtesy, tolerance, humility, consideration, and giving back to the community.
II. Treat others as you would like to be treated and AVOID PUBLIC CONFRONTATIONS. Confrontations and arguments are NEVER appropriate in public. All members are expected to keep guild chat enjoyable. Being racist, sexist, intolerant of sexuality or religious beliefs are unacceptable. Anything a player says that may cause offense may lead to expulsion and possibly a permanent ban from the game so always be careful of what you type. KEEP NEGATIVITY TO A MINIMUM. If chat is becoming overly heavy we request that you take it to private chat. In the event that an officer has to intervene between members that are in conflict, they are expected to CEASE any and all offensive behavior and language IMMEDIATELY.
III. Guild Officers are to serve as primary points of contact for any issues concerning the guild and its members. Officers may decide to, or not to, intervene - as may be required by each unique situation. It is highly encouraged that any concerns, however big or small, about the guild’s policies, members, operations, or any suggestions aimed to improve the guild and its policies, be coursed directly to officers/leaders for proper consideration and handling.
IV. The guild’s leadership strongly discourages gossiping and the mongering of ill thoughts and feelings among guild members. The guild aims to foster a friendly, safe, homey environment for the community and any member determined to be a continuous threat to this will be dealt with accordingly.
V. In the spirit of a community that aims to help one another improve in all aspects of the game, it is important for all guild members, especially those who are, or are planning to be, active members of the guild’s raid/pvp groups, to always keep an open mind and accept/consider constructive criticisms. In the same manner, it is also very important for members to always aim for the betterment of fellow members of our community when giving out feedback. We want everyone to get better at the game, and not put anyone down to boost our own egos. Help out newbies, we were all newbies at one point or another and needed help.
VI. Loyalty pays. We do not want people to treat the guild as a means to play the game, but rather as a community where they belong to and get to play with like-minded people. We value players who choose to stick with the guild regardless of if they achieve their gaming goals or not, at the pace they prefer or not. We do not want freeloaders who join and take what they can (resources, loot, experience, etc) and then leave. If a player decides to leave the guild for any reason and decides to want to rejoin later, they may still be allowed to join but will have to work on their ranks and their privileges from scratch. This is to be fair to those who are loyal enough to choose to stay with the guild regardless of the situation.
VII. Everybody in the guild is expected to be treated equally. That being said, all members are expected to respect the Officers of the guild and recognize the authority they have in moderating our community and resources.
